Payment Due
Payment is due to confirm your order and book your sweets. Holiday and specialty pre-orders, full payment is due when ordering. For weddings and large orders, a deposit is due to lock in your date. Your balance will be due a week before delivery.
Cottage Food Laws
The Sweet Connection is a home based business and operates under Maryland's Cottage Food Law. State law requires me to let you know that I bake in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the health department. I can assure you that every possible care is taken to ensure clean, sanitary conditions. I am fully ServeSafe certified and a fully trained pastry chef.
Design Change Cut-Off
Changes are able to be made to the details of your order up to two weeks before. Changes are subject to cost change if it effects the complexity of the design. Design change requests with less than two weeks will be under consideration on a case-by-case basis and a small change fee will apply. Please note this also applies to changes of pick up date.
Inspiration
We appreciate inspiration pictures to understand your design vision, but your order may not be perfect replicas – we’ll try to keep it close.
Last Minute Orders
While I can’t accommodate all last minute orders, I will make my best effort to. Orders placed with a turnaround time of under 7 days will require a rush fee of $10. Orders with a turnaround time of under 3 days will require a rush fee of $20.
Delivery
All orders are pick-up only unless otherwise discussed. Delivery is assessed on a case-by-case basis for an additional cost.
Refunds
Deposits and payment are non-refundable. If your event is postponed, we will work to the best of our abilities to accommodate your order on the new date, with proper notice given. If you have a problem with your order, please contact Tina directly.
